One of the amateur radios that appears to be coming soon and making some waves is the Icom IC-7300. Since its appearance on some websites during Q3 in 2015 the questions have been coming in about what it can do, how does the decode of digi mode go etc. After some searching we’ve some videos and add them to the blog under the link here.

The only difference is that the Icom would work and it probably wouldn’t work out a hell of a lot more expensive either. Plus Icom (UK) exists, so there would be support for any problems.

Looks nice enough, if nothing else, it will push the price of the FT-991 down, which can only be good.
