So it seems an old sparring partner of mine on the 446Mhz DX Scene has made a fantastic contact from the north of Czech Republic to a mountain range in Slovakia on a standard small 500mw radio with fitted antenna. Below are the photos of his qth and more information 

In the background you see the mountain Jested which is 1100m ASL and I’ve used it many a time.

The location of the contact which I believe is 860m ASL
