The guys from Konektor5000 in Łodz Poland have been connecting to me via email with the initial thoughts on the Andy AM/FM and I’ll pass those on to you here and actually I’m in agreement (will surprise) in what they’ve told me. Below again is the customary link to the radio and remember prices can raise or fall due to exchange rates and in some markets these are more volatile than others. Cost today is around £105 but rates differ as do taxes
And the initial findings from the KONEKTOR guys are as follows:
I am already testing it with our GainMaster 5/8.
– First impressions (working in AM):
– good ASC
– display angles are better comparing to Harry III/Johnny III etc.
– superb microphone cable – flexible like Densei EC-2002.
We will try to tune it in next month 🙂

Different taxes. More tax in U.K. then some other places. Also seen it for €174 in another place I’ll try find the link again. But local situations are different.

Lower rate of tax makes the most difference
It can’t be VAT in this case as according to Google it’s 19% in CZ and 20% in UK, only a tiny difference there but I understand that there are other costs involved.
It just seems that UK prices are almost always the highest regardless of tax, vat, exchange rate etc. Prices never fall in the UK when exchange rates are favorable……. 😉
… And it’s not just radios, it’s the same with everything.
Actually not for everything. I order my coax in U.K. As great price, my jeans are U.K. Bought as are some other stuff. Actually my Amazon firestik was U.K. Sourced as cheapest around.
But if your interested Del, most people here buy televisions etc from Germany as much cheaper than here (market bigger than here) As a whole Hungary has 10 million people, so market small. Better to buy in Germany where more people and bigger market means better costs. Same with stuff in other countries I guess
