Thank you so much to Rob PE9PE who sent me information about the Icom 7610. It’s late here as have been away with non radio related matters. Below is a link that Rob sent me and it’s interesting for me to see that 3,000 prospective units being made a year. I’d guessed a lot more so sure was interesting to see.

woww….now tell me how you would get bored with such a full featured radio and prefer single band.pmr ??? i don’t get it !!!
I would like to go hf but I know with in an hour I would be bored a great radio but it does nothing for me but eg a 80+ mile and lots more on pmr now that’s what I like low power and a great distance on pmr and now I have my mobile pmr antenna and two hand sets at 5w and the cig lighter adaptor and a spare battery and some very nice vhf kicker and nice a 8 element antenna and I will be happy
