Throwback Friday!

And why not! This time we head back 5 years till when the Comtex CT-6000Dx hit the streets. Delivered in the Optima II box it featured the 8 pin Icom wired microphone, filter which was switchable. Not many were sold I think? But I know it was Markus at Neuner-Funk who had it first and was where mine was purchased and it worked well.

I remember mine had black pen all across the Optima name and when you wiped it off it was of course Optima on the radio. A great radio and I feel very fortunate as have a new boxed Radiozing tuned Optima III, I’ve a Optima IIB less than 100 total units sold and now found another Comtex online so they appear now and then it seems. So the throwback is Comtex CT-6000DX this time.

  1. I still have one or two Optima MKII new that I have kept. I really like the simplicity for all it offers and the display.

  2. Hi Simon, I have the Optima MK III shak.In the UK imported. Was bad in the reception, in the funkshop heerdt it was edited. Now I am happy with her. A very good device. With a motorola microphone it works fantastic.
    Greetings and “Frohe Ostern”
