Thanks for those who’ve used the comments are and those who’ve emailed me. So the answer to the photo question yesterday is the Funktechnik Grenz imported Comtex CT-6000DX which came with the serial numbers beginning S0643 so I guess it makes them the Optima Mk2 indeed. Not really sure how many of them were sold but I found one at the Ham Show at Bodensee way back sat on a table with a white box.

Top radio is the Comtex and the bottom radio is an Optima II B which shares a similar serial number to the other. It’s a shame not anymore of the Optima appear these days. I’ve a new in the box Optima III bought from Radiozing so I’m happy to leave it there should there come a time when it is needed.
