90 Mile QSO PMR-446

A video has popped up showing a contact between the Clee Hills and the Quantock Hills in the UK. We’ve featured this as PMR is really a popular band. Some countries with more power and equipment and others with the standard 500mw and fitted fixed antenna. Enjoy the video and get out and about with your PMR. No matter what brand or what radio the importance is being on the air.

  1. It’s only “PMR446” if you’re using certified PMR446 equipment. If you’re running higher power from 5W transcievers (or more) it can’t really count. It’s not the frequency (it’s ham 70cm when all’s said and done) it’s the PMR446 standard that matters.
