R.I.P. Tom 47DX052

He was my first ever contact to Denmark on SSB. Had no trouble answering the call from a hesitant I guess 9-10 year old on a radio. In those days he was 47AT152 and he chatted wished me good SSB contacts and like the gentleman he was he sent me the most lovely selection of QSL cards, postcards and tourist info from Denmark.

He was a loud and clear voice offering advice to newbies, chasing islands around the world and the keenest Island Festival entrant and competitor. I’ve read he passed away yesterday 1.1.2018 CB Radio and or Amateur radio has many versions of operators, idiots who think they can operate, mentors, genuine and real good guys plus all in between.

Tom was a mentor, genuine and real good radio guy.

R.I.P zero five two

Heavens got one hell of a knowledgeable radio guy about to arrive…
