Have to agree with Wayne T from the Wirral whose sent me the link to the video below. That is indeed the sweetest sounding of the CRE that I’ve heard. As I understand Steve is always running mobile and indeed sounds great. Not sure on distance involved or antenna, microphone used but sounded really excellent indeed.

There are a few around here with the AT-5555 (or the clones) and they sound good. But they are better still when the original mic is replaced with something better.
Sounded good to me , iv’e often wondered how the 7900 soundsaswell as never heard one .
From what i heard i think sames very much like 5555 radio. But not heard many at all really here
