It’s with the heaviest of hearts that I report here another 11 metre man has departed to the sporadic-e room in the sky. This time Wim from the Netherlands who’d you hear every year on the sporadic-e on FM as CB Radio Romantica with his homemade massive antenna and great signal.

Friends on the air and friends on Facebook as we shared the same passion for our magnificent hobby.

Anyone’s death is a complete loss to family and close friends while a radio operators death effects those across the world and for different reasons.

RIP Wim and my sincere condolences to your family. Make the heavens ring with your CB Romantica callsign. When you see Tom 052 up there you two are going to raise some radio hell.
