*NEW* FCC Enforcement – Imported VHF/UHF TX/RX

News from the USA now and thanks to Marti for telling me the “FCC Sucks! After they’ve issued I guess a directive on September 24th stating that “non compliant UHF/VHF transceivers may not be imported, marketed or sold in the USA” This was after a company importing the cheap and cheerful Baofeng range of radios ran into trouble with the FCC. So what about all the other radios that can be unlocked for other functions? Or is this just radios that are imported unlocked?

“Anyone importing, advertising, or selling such noncompliant devices should stop immediately, and anyone owning such devices should not use them,” the Advisory stressed. “Violators may be subject to substantial monetary penalties.”
