*NOT MUCH NEWS* President Walker II EU / USA

Thanks to Grant and Tyler in the United States for the questions and also to Mark, Adam and Piotr for questions too. Simple answer is I don’t know a lot more than you. It’s my impression that the Walker II EU should be around anytime now. On the other hand the USA version of the Walker II I can’t see that it’s been FCC approved so far via the website. So guess more time needed. Although checking the website it states “December 2018” availability.

But I do know that Markus from NeunerFunk has the Walker II ASC Manual printed already in German for his customers. Also the radio is priced €209 with “possible” release around end of the month.

    • I’m sure it can be done as I’ve got some USA stuff imported to here. Just the origin of China and the costs of shipping and duties could be an issue unless you’ve family over for a trip (maybe)

    • Being British by birth but American by choice, my best friend is German 🙂 I can get anything European over here through them 🙂 As I have in the past, like my President Grant 2 premium with the UK channels fitted for instance 🙂

    • Cheers Simon! I appreciate it 🙂 I have to say I am in favour of sourcing from Europe anyway, even before that bloody trump tax. You get much better build quality I find.

    • So what do you run antenna wise? Do you try and listen or will you try and listen for any of the AM or SSB nets in the UK during the winter. Guess you’ve got snow ⛄️ according to reports on CNN

    • I am running an antron 99 right now but that is changing in the spring when cubical quad goes up on the tower. I am in rural Maine here and yes there is a snowstorm moving in right now. It should be here in the next hour or so. Yes, I do listen out for the UK nets but as you know the conditions right now are not favourable toward Europe.

    • Yep absolutely true on conditions but during cycle when it wakes up should be interesting. A few years back USA were calling on UK 19 same as Australia and abuse they got was awful. Snowed here earlier now just dark, cold and damp. Have a great day🧙‍♂️

    • Indeed, I am looking forward to working the UK on FM or any part of Europe from here though! I will look on the nets to work them instead. Have a great day too!
