Over the weekend I’ve been on air from around 400-480m ASL in the Czech Republic. With a maximum of 35 watts from an FT-891 from Yaesu. Furthest distance work on EU SSB with this 50cm antenna was 1,886km. Below some videos from the fun on the hills.
Above is David 26DR017/P located near Macclesfield at the Cat & Fiddle Pub. Distance 896 miles / 1,442 km
Above is Yoan 14AT047 working the special event station for the Women’s World Cup at around 997 km / 620 miles.

I thought about the Taifun27 for my Citroen DS4 drilled into the roof where Beesting normally would. my car stereo RX is via the rear window heating element so it wouldnt look out of place , thing is..what is the Taifun range like as no info on Youtube.
Hi Nigel. Never ever tried a Taifun27 as wasn’t keen on drilling the car so only went on magmount antennas so far.
