Lundy Island “Postponed”

I guess it should be mentioned that if weather allowing (storms in UK has made the activation be postponed) and all the other odds and ends fall into place! Bristol Channel island of Lundy will be on air under the call of 26CTX2767 so take a listen. Below we’ve got the QSL information so get those antennas and ears ready for action.

  1. Just an update for you on this activation.
    After a tentative wait to see if the storm would pass and clearance for shipping, Matt 26CTX2767 is on his way to Lundy Island!
    He will be mostly working 11m & PMR and for you Amateur Radio operators out there also 2m simplex as 2E0FGX.
    Activation is now from today Wed.26th to Sat.29th with QSL cards of the beautiful image above for those that want them.
    We wish him well and hope the weather holds out for him.

  2. Hello I am in the harbour now so we are back in business and landing on island this afternoon. Mainly operating in afternoon and evenings .

  3. It was announced on Sunday that this activation has been postponed due to a bad storm coming in with gale force wind and heavy rain, in fact it’s already here! It is hoped that the weather will allow for the activation to take place from later this week, weather permitting from Thursday.

    • Thanks so much Tim. I’ve seen the storms and it looks terrible but when asked about the activation nobody answered me. I’ll make modifications accordingly
