Thanks to Rob P from RP Comms whose sent a video of the new QYT handheld. We’ve a little more information which includes the fact there is no and possibly will not be a mains adapter for this unit. It is available now in China and it appears available via Aliexpress. Below let’s hope the video will work as it’s from FB watch. It is important to say no papers of conformity have been seen, neither ROHS paperwork. Other than that this is from a small factory and appears a clone from a USA AM handheld in some ways.

Mine arrived today. Complete waste of £99. Tried everything to get it on UK 40 (muppet channels) regardless of what country you select by holding down the Fun button, it still won’t go above 27.405mhz. No programming software is available and when plugging into windows via USB it doesn’t recognize it and comes up with driver issues etc. tried different sequences to expand it, tore it down to try find a jumper or a wire to cut (nothing). There are adjustment trimmers on the PCB should they be needed for running etc.
