The original Smart was the base for some really well selling models from Team, Albrecht, Avanti, Vector and others and now it’s back with a new board, new front (yes AE-6120) and is available for sale. In my case I’ve the Albrecht AE-6120 VOX and it’s really a great radio. Audio on FM is better than anything in same price point (NEW Bills I’m told are also excellent but not seen one) Great export mode inside and small size, big performance.

I was impressed with the little Smart radio these last couple of days. I took a road trip from San Diego to Arizona and made multiple contacts to Georgia running eight watts mobile.
On my set the frequencies of a band was going up until channel 25, then they made a jump to the upper part of the next band.
So “freeband” was unusable. But that wasnt my first intension, was only courios. But the S-Meter Desaster and the fake display image is unforgivable, IMHO!
Same as first Bills some band had @ channels and some odd like 27325 was channel 28 and 27285 was 32 etc. Guess it was fixed onwards. Honestly I’d ping Albrecht and tell them, I’ve found VERY helpful recently. I only run mine standard (6120) since trying out other stuff.. Maybe there is new revision now? I’ve no idea.

Seems the display picture is also fake, like the 6120. It makes me wired to see an S-Meter without any scale. I had the 6120 for three Month, sold it yesterday… Will come back if they fix the Display and the Firmware Bugs in the open Mode.
The image is factory image, the introduction image. Firmware bugs? Which do you mean the channelised or interesting ways frequencies are against channels etc.
