So the gloves are off for the AM only market for when the UK starts the new legal norms in July. The regulations will allow radios with 4w AM 26965-27405 and of course with SSB from the same band span and 12w PEP. Having asked around it seems the first one on the block that is confirmed will be the Jimmy II from President.
Having asked around different companies there are none who I’ve asked that even acknowledge that they will release a simple just AM Radio in the near future.
So what bands does the Jimmy II cover?
EU 26965-27405 4w AM so the UK setting will sit here
PL 26960-27400 4w AM with -5hz step
IN 27 channels AM 4w for the Indian market ( 26957- 27283 ) *Frequency to be checked to make sure it is correct.

i like am sets only far better. i have one a kraco 4004 love it and have very good contacts on its the only way its must be am

Agreed but there are those who wanted AM back in the day so could want it still? I know so far in Eire lots of people waiting for this as use AM only still till today
