Do you the readers ever have time to check out ebay and see what is on offer? If so then tell me what is it with the original Jackson at the moment. Over the past weeks it has gone crazy with these radios. New Old Stock boxed ones, Kucha Hans ones, French sold, German, Polish and loads more all for sale:
Where have they all been sitting till now? I have seen them for £150, £127, £180 and still people bidding on them with days to go. Ones with 26065-28305 and those from 25615-28305 and mostly fitted with the mouth wateringly lovely MRF477 on the back side.
Just today I looked and there was:
Jackson 1 Total Pieces 9
Jackson 2 Total Pieces 7
That is what I could find in a few minutes on ebay. Sure they were iconic as worked like hell, were sold in the former Czechoslovakia pre 1989, same as Hungary and Poland had them in communist times. Mostly from Josef at the Funkladen. I remember throwing one into a forest with a magnetic antenna in times when it was stupid for westerners who use radios from places you needed visa to go too.
See these cars following you around on air was not great. First of the DDR events on air was with the Jackson people took from the west to the east.
Played a lot in history this radio, but why now so many appearing? Boxed, manuals, all papers etc.
Will any current SSB Radio from ANY MAKERS be as popular as these old time radios are now?

The Jacko is a classic old radio that works well and has plenty of nostalgia. President also seem incapable of replacing these old sets with better ones. That might explain why these and other old school sets retain plenty of value.
Yep! Agree. Shame cannot be made again. They remake Cobra’s and 3900 radios.
But was Philippines not China or Vietnam made, leaded components, no ROHS also.
Solid radios indeed! True True
