In the USA this radio weighs in at $690 which is at todays rate is 624 euro and in the UK £443 so the best advice is go look somewhere and find a used HF Radio, sure will not provide the 400w this radio will do but add customs duty on import, dealer profit etc can you imagine what one of these will set you back in Europe? WOW… Avera in the Netherlands has the N2 listed at 650 euro. So, mind numbing costs.
I wonder if the e-chip comes with it, or is this more additional cost? It’s crazy, that radio will be well over £500 by dealers here. With Yaesu cash back, I got my FT-450D for £485, okay it is 100w, but that is proper watts, so it is equivalent to 200w on the Ranger and it will do from 160m to 6m and 11m is included as standard. I don’t use it for 11m, I have dedicated rigs for that band.
There is one dealer quoting $45 “11m modification” but does not say if plugs something in or adds a bought e-chip
