Juan Linux has confirmed via Facebook the news that has been around the web a few days and that is MAXLOG is indeed making the 8900 under another name of the RP-90 and the thought is for the South American market place (Brazil) We’ve dropped a message to MAXLOG and wait to see what they have to say 

  
It’s been known for a long time that a new investor or company joined up with MAXLOG. I think everyone knows the MAXLOG 8900 radio? 24mhz upwards and now with new software and new ideas on the inside. Price is yet to be confirmed
