Seems they’ve been busy down in France with some nice photos added by the webmaster showing better the radio and not the EU version that I showed here before the better pictures were uploaded to the website.
Murata Inside what an excellent idea and glad to see they continue across the range of radios in both EU and USA in this initial model. So guess we now know it’s passed FCC so will be available in 2016. The fact the world of President is not re-invented I’d say is sensible as better to stick with what you know. The fact that “some” customers have issues and continued issues with some radios (Check The Shack on Facebook) with a recent radio that was there.
Add a CR577 RF Limited Mike to this and sure as Uniden they know there AM radios that is beyond doubt. Although I think now more often they are lost with SSB* Maybe a change of location from Vietnam to China can help, and sure there will be new ideas and new dreams to chase now in the USA.
In the Wizards shack it comes a hard time when a President isn’t on the shelf. But there isn’t .. We’ll source one of these in the New Year. Already asked in the right place in the USA. And no a,b,c which is an excellent way forward in my opinion.

*SSB = Needs sometime to look at recent radios, check what happened and why were released in certain way. Can take short time, can take longer and maybe can’t be at all.

The user says it was low SWR, running low power into an amp. Shack says, it was probably bad SWR with the amp, and the mosfets couldn’t handle it, nothing to do with aerial SWR.
Goes onto to say Cheap Chinese components and they can’t handle it like the older rigs.
Which is my complaint, it is cheap Chinese stuff, sold under the President logo at a premium price and is not up to it. There is no proper QC and within a year they have brought out three different versions, which screams, we didn’t get it right the first time, nor the second time and we’ve done a bodge job for the third. If you’re going to charge double money, then make it yourself or get it right first time. It is an insult to the original Lincoln.

LOL, so you read the ringing endorsement of the Lincoln (sorry Anyclone) II on the shack? Not exactly complimentary was he? I saw a second hand one on ebay just before the weekend. £100 staring price, with 10 minutes to go, it had received no offers or bids.
Yes I read it indeed and what a mess it was internally. But he made it heaps better. Seems to be a great guy!! What do you think bust it? User abuse, screwdriver expert or other?
