Greece Still In Negotiation For New CB Standard EN 300 443

First featured 25th June 2015 More news  has arrived in the form of a long document that there are still ongoing negotiations surrounding the implementation of them latest EU standard for CB radio. The negotiations are long and appears with many hurdles to cross. Obviously the situation there currently makes the duration of talks longer.

  

Negotiations are continuing between the Hellenic Ministry of Transport and Communications of Greece, and the HELLENIC CB RADIO CLUB OF USERS, main CB users association in Greece for the implementation of the European standard EN 300 433, which as stated in the decision CEPT ECC 11/03, allow the free use of CB citizens of Hellenic country. The ECBF, through its President, Mr. Oscar Espallargas, and at the request of the President of the Hellenic Club of CB Radio Users, Mr. Gerasimos Manolatos, has contacted Mr. Christos Spirtzis, Greek Minister of Transports and Telecommunications, Mr . Stavros Kalafatidis, Radiofrequency Spectrum Director and Mr. Dimitris Tzortzis, Secretary of the Ministry of Transports and Telecommunications, to inquire about the implementation.

Dear Sir,
In replying to your Email, we would like to inform you as follows :

1. There is an internal Working Group appointed in the Directorate of Spectrum and Satellite Communications for for drafting a new CB Framework.

2. The working Group has submitted the final Draft for a Ministrial Decision taking under account all considerations and decisive parts of the ECC/DEC/(11)03.

3. Our common procedures before the issue of a Ministrial Decision is to upload the draft Decision, usually for 15 days, for Public comments.
4. As soon as the final Decision is published in the official Greek Government Gazette, then we will inform the CEPT ECO Office for the implementation of ECC Decision in our Legislation.
5. All along before and during the procedures for implementing the Decision the President of the Local Greek ECBF was/is kept informed and also made comments for consideration.
