CB Radio is used a lot in Spain and Portugal as well as PMR and novice license, used a lot in vehicles as the weather means a more outside lifestyle than with us in the colder lands. I wouldn’t call it massive here in Portugal but for sure a lot pf PMR446 users are now migrating or operating both bands. On the other hand, some CB users are taking the “Categoria 3” exam – to became licensed ham radio operators (Categoria 3 is the fisrt stage of 3).
Still…Growing, I agree….but not at all massive.

Thanks for clarification. I used the words as used more mobile as you’ve better climates for mobile use. Same in UK “Novice License” takes people away from CB to amateur radio. But still many use CB PMR and Amateur.
