Discussed here way back in the days before white noise and appears to be coming soon to market according to some sources in Hong Kong. A magnetic base that has an amplifier on the inside and 4w into the base is more than 30w from the antenna and available in VHF, UHF and CB bands too. An interesting idea I’d say but never seen it so far.
