#TBS Throwback Sunday Ranger RG-66

Boy this radio seems to have shared some DNA with Uniden. Made in Malaysia and released by Ranger. Recently there have been quite a few of these on eBay, whether it in the USA or EU. So as we’ve not had the throwback for a while then it was a time to have another go. Nice to see the external counter attachment on the back of the radio too. Not seen one have you?

And what’s more important of course a look at the radio:

24.265Mhz upwards I believe and the Ranger EPT690010Z board inside that was also used in the following radios:

(Galaxy DX2517, Ranger RG66, RG99, Cobra 148F GTL DX+, Texas Ranger, TR6900, TR6900 Jumbo, TR6900F and others)

Export mode from 24.265Mhz upwards, I’ve always championed it so will again say 25.6 upwards needs be swapped to 24.89 upwards for the future as more and more users are heading low down…. Those who know, know what I mean.
