CRT 9900 “Updated”

So the last news I guess for now till the radio drops in dealers hands around the 30th July 2017. It's named different by different dealers so hard to say at the moment. President used Premium so I guess N (New) ** SEE BELOW** The details of the radio slowly materialise and indeed it's the frequency extension that seems to be the key. AM Power still remains variable to 15w, FM to 45 watts and SSB till 60w PEP. It comes with the same CTCSS board inside. Current drain remains about the same with 10 amps with modulation. So the radio is more of a mid life facelift rather than re-invent the wheel. I'm a little surprised that the volume control and volume level haven't been addressed but it's good with the extension to the frequency. It was mentioned in the blog from the first year about extension to 12m band for radios. Good to see that this is now adopted as useful with SSB radios. I'm on the fence with AM/FM only radios but great news for amateur users who've wrote to me that the extension is a great advance for them.

Estimated Price: £180 – £210 or €229 – €249

Above price based on dealers I've asked and is estimated as the radios have not dropped yet on the shelves remember.

No new photo at the moment but I expect the same front with N next to the 9900
