Velvet Revolution 30 Years Old

The Velvet Revolution or Gentle Revolution was a non-violent transition of power in what was then Czechoslovakia, occurring from 16/17 November to 29 December 1989. Popular demonstrations against the one-party government of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia included students and older dissidents. So we raise a glass to all those who fight and struggle made a difference. 30 years passed, much happened and here’s to the next 30. To radio friends, those who’ve passed away your not forgot and to those carrying the tradition world Hodně štěstí We know many who read the blog have visited, also some had lived in the Czech Republic Or Czechoslovakia as it was called. Wishing you continued great travels and experiences.
