This times inside story is the Stabo Optimike with DSP / ANC Function. And the question I’ve been asked can be answered now. Inside is different! Stabo has an electret element while the Albrecht is different on the inside. Stabo is smaller as has no internal battery ALTHOUGH it appears a place is there on the board for a battery to be fitted for example. Inside story is below.
First noticeable item is the PTT is firm where Albrecht is prone to false trigger as the PTT switch is far less firm.
Stabo microphone has the electret just under the light at the top right. A small hole is visible for the element and inside some protection foam is there too.
Reverse of the microphone. And the information is that this mike is compatible with all radios with six pin from Stabo except 5003e. Tomorrow we will be on air and trying different radios.
Picture left in bigger format for those of us who like to save them and have a look around and see what is what.
Back of the unit from the inside. Appears space for a battery? Maybe this version is similar to the Albrecht one without the battery also? Not known at the moment.
Above is the inside of the bigger Albrecht VOX microphone which has switchable ANC where it appears the Stabo is permanently switched on.
Tomorrow we are on air with the microphone so if you hear me me record it and send me a file so can hear how it sounds across the kilometers.
