  1. I’ve owned a few Galaxy 10 meter radios. I don’t understand why Ranger / Galaxy can’t solve the issue with SSB frequency stability. They are either off frequency when cold then stabalize when warmed up or will drift off frequency after warming up. If you think about how long 10 meter / cb radios have been around that this issue would not happen. I would think Ranger would want to build a quality product that didn’t have these frequency stability issues as most other manufactures don’t seem to have this issue. With modern electronics I’m certain they could use a CPU that keeps frequency dead on at all times & would compansate for temperature changes.

  2. Hello.
Rather than changes, I would have preferred that Ranger announced new RCI’s with the current circuits.

Before the SS7900V, I had the RCI-2950CD for 1 year and I sold it because in SSB its frequency instability was unbearable to me at most.

For me they must evolve, otherwise they will disappear quickly enough in front of the competition.

Moreover in France except 2 shops that still sell them, the other countries Spain, Germany, Italy etc… do not offer it since the generation of the years 2008 with green display.

It is a radio that in my humble opinion, it had its glory hours during the 80’s/ 90’s near the DX’ers but electronically it always had defects even in RX with a stage of reception with breath and a bad signal-to-noise ratio.
