Sunday 17th March, another day of surprises… a welcome to Darryl 26DR070/p called in using his H/H SSb unit an AE2990 pushing approximately 3W only….. Thanks to Ray 233CT20 called from Nth E Romania, he allowed many contacts to be made and eventually had to go due to being beckoned by his wife…. SHOPPING the bane of most mens existence hehehe. Darryl called in just as Ray had said his goodbyes but gave another call stating he could hear 26DR070/p … Darryl was still using his H/H unit and made ajourney of approximately 2000 miles using that small amount of power…. Well done to Darryl for the contact and also well done to Ray for his ability to hear such a low powered unit….. Timing can be everything and skip levels play their role too .

Thanks to ev1 that made the effort calling into the net, numbers were into the 30’s not the highest and definitely not the lowest….
As usual ALL GROUPS, ALL STATIONS, ALL NATIONS are welcome to call into this net, Ears will be open for those MOBILES, PORTABLES, QRP CALLERS, and SDR RXers with access to a radio….
Again due to back injuries, we will be hosting close to Birmingham, sorry to those stations we lose due to the lack of height , it does make a big difference when listening for those quieter stations or those further afield….
