First off as we never take things for granted. This photograph of a President Washington arrived end of last week. Biggest thanks to Groupe President Electronics who’ve wrote to the blog
“Here is the first official design of the Washington You’ve got to wait as it’s just the start of the process of this radio!”
What can I say? It’s a George II looking radio with can it be a titanium or similar looking front?
What’s special I’ve asked?
More Power, more features and more what??
Is it true or not. Does it come to market we want to know more. It drives me crazy looking but what I did notice is TX/RX on the NRC button is that SPLIT or REPEAT
No reply to message so we wait….

You’re right, time will tell I guess as we can only buy what they produce so I will have to wait & see.
As you know I don’t like waiting either
They should make it a base with a strong power supply. I like the rci bases but competition will make all improve.
A wasihington II base may be good enough to replace my dx-2517
Please write to them. That’s always best policy ✔️
Maybe they take the “Jerry” strategy, less feature -> lower price…
Absolutely No Idea At All
I don‘t think so – looks more like a Ham Version of the George II because the display is showing a 28MHz frequency. Perhaps with more power out of the box.
Appears to be Ham so maybe Lincolnesque with 12-10m and who knows what else
Programming repeater shifts with the RX/TX button might be more easy but I miss the MONITOR button to bypass tonesquelch.
BAND switch is not so important because of the „VFO“.
Fine (RX) plus coarse (RX/TX) clarifier dial would be nice!
Have to wait and see I guess as don’t know if this is final version or what it is. Need wait and wait sadly Sven
I’ll get excited when I see an AM/FM/SSB mobile cb that is smaller than a Uniden PC122XL. All these larger radios are just that, another radio. No matter what features they come with. Just make a compact 4/12 watt mobile cb radio & I will be thrilled.
Then you’ll get excited sometime in the future. But won’t be smaller than PC122XL so maybe you’ll not be excited. Time will tell….
