With thanks to Helmut Frequenzwaschl whose come across an interesting render of the SSB radio from PNI. It’s even got a price now of €293 so we will need to wait and see.

I saw a prototype named as P1 and it was looking like a SR955 from Stryker and this was in October 2024 so just a couple of days under a year ago. This was the PNI 490 so this one is a new kid on the block (if it materialises that is.)

As we see there are issues like no LSB on this render and some other oddities but it’s labeled on multiple sites and priced on them too. I think it’s a red herring and something different will come than this photo and sadly like some other radios it maybe will disappear for example like HP40 and some others so best not sit and wait, better to move on and wait till it becomes available and then we can see what actually comes..
