New from Midland Europe comes this super interesting multi-EU norm handset CB radio with killer ANC and USB-C charging on the front. Midland has re-invented the old M5 and added some nicer touches and made this a nice small radio for the car.

The radio comes with DW (Dual Watch) VOX, 7 colour display, ASQ (Automatic Squelch) and as the radio base is exceptionally small they’ve added two cables from the back for PA and Extension Speaker. You can select the sound source from the handset whether you want base, handset or base and handset. The killer function is the ANC (Automatic Noise Cancelling) it’s a little tricky to describe but on AM the audio is absolutely cracking. It is literally crystal clear transmit. From such a small handset the clarity is excellent. On FM too with the ANC active you notice a little delay between when you press the PTT and when the audio comes but when it does it’s literally also absolutely crystal clear. Manufacturers and resellers have a “selling feature” and on this radio I guess it’s the ANC it’s really that good! And as mentioned earlier the radio has a USB-C on the front for charging devices too.

So this is the pre-look at the radio for you. I know some will ask about the radio and whether it has extended mode and or @lpha channels etc. Although it’s quite soon I can tell you yes it does have and it does have 4/8 watts option if you would need it. I’ll report on that later it was just to let you know it had the capabilities.
