*NEWS* Midland 8001 PRO Info Sheets / Manual / Release Time?

We’ve had some new news concerning the Midland 8001 PRO from Helmut Frequenzwaschl whose sent us information enclosed here that the radio will come during January 2026

And you know what it’s on the list of radios for me in 2026..

This is going to be an eagerly anticipated radio for sure! And at the moment we’ve possibly got the promise of a mini SSB radio and this one during the same month

How often do SSB radios come along and it’s not often. Imagine if a Mini SSB and this one come along during the same month for example??

As we all know the month of January has around 180 days so will be a very long month indeed.

  1. Looking good added ctcss DCS (split tones unsure ?) ,split tx offset for ham option ,audio tailoring ,nrc.
    No schematics so can’t comment on internals circuitry yet.
    But looking good so far.
    Definitely on my wish list.
    Like rugged commercial microphone 👍

    Now all we need is a updated Midland 42DST Pro ,with tone splits TSQ/DSC ,NRC,Tx offset ham,0/5kc step button, to match this radio product line ,usb C battery 15V high capacity pack.
    Longer top loaded helical or long tactical tape antenna.
    Bit of water proofing would be a nice wish too.
    Think it would be asking too much for a ssb HT as well.
