My name is Silviu Ionascu Strungariu, CEO of ONLINESHOP SRL, the company behind the PNI brand. I confirm that we are working hard to finish this project this year. The PCB and the front is ready. More then that we will delivery first PNI 100 with 100 watt AM / FM and 180 watt SSB (typo think it’s 100w) before PNI 490.
You are right the products are not ready.
I write this topic to confirm that will be available on the market in this year in 2026.

This is what I’ve been saying for sometime. I’ve personally seen a photo of the P1 of the PNI490 and since then which is I think almost two years maybe more it has changed a lot. The photo was of another radio which was being accessed as a possible base of the 490 if that makes sense.

180 W SSB PEP sounds reasonable when the cooling is active and strong. However, the AM power is too high. With a modulation index on 90% that will rather be 50W AM carrier with 180W PEP. 100 W FM lies well in the middle as a continuous wave of equal power.
