With sincere thanks to Ingo for his kindness and he’s got a fix for the low FM modulation on the super small Luiton and we’ve got the information below

Hi Simon,
I replaced the original capsule in the Luiton 310 SDR with an AOM5024-HD-R PUL. This resulted in an improvement in FM modulation of at least 80%. I even had to turn down the mic gain, as otherwise I was experiencing feedback in the form of an echo… Regards,
There we have it users and also maybe Luiton take a look at the capsule and maybe the issues would be over quite quickly

Best vendor to obtain this from in the US where the shipping isn’t more than the mic capsule? Thanks
Is it possible to adjust a deviation pot instead of a new mic element?
I built a microphone adapter cable for my LT-310 SDR and find the transmit audio to be much improved on all modes with my 4 pin K-Po NM-532 or Astatic 575.
Please tell us more
Using information posted on Panic Attack’s public CB radio facebook page, I made an adapter cable, so I could use a standard “Cobra” 4 pin microphone with my 310 SDR.

Hi Simon
Something is wrong with the description.
There is noch AOM5024-HD-R PUI but AOM5024L-HD-R PUI and AOM5024P-HD-R PUI.
What is the right model, L or P?

HD-R Pul
I’m glad a fix was found for this issue. I have talked to a few people over the years with a somewhat low level of audio while on the FM mode. Sure, I can always turn up my volume, but it’s too bad the audio isn’t “up to par” in a new, and stock radio. Seems like an easy fix, though, with an inexpensive condenser element like that. I just might purchase this radio, as it is small..the perfect size in her pickup. Thank you for posting this, Simon.
