I’ve been asked if I’ll test it. Wait and see. Not sure at the moment as I have an existing Washington which was modified and makes 100w SSB with fans on the back.

Some good suggestions. I would add that President Electronics get rid of the very uncommon 01-38 numbering system of their CTCSS tones. Nobody I know has memorized the entire chart to know that 01 is 67.0Hz, or 23 is 146.2Hz, etc. Okay, maybe some people, but not many. Every repeater book I have seen, either a hard copy or online, have NEVER had 01 or 23 or 37 listed as the tone to input in your radio…it has always been 67, 69.3, 114.8, etc. Even when choosing tones built into the radio, they are listed by their frequency in Hz, not some numbering system. Some of my amateur radios have had the full 50 CTCSS tones as well, instead of the standard 38.
With the new 100 watt Washington already out, it’s too late to add things now, I suppose. I guess I should have mentioned it when I purchased the 80 watt version, but I didn’t buy it until December of 2025. With only four memory channels, I tend to change 10 meter FM repeaters frequently, so I always have to refer to my phone that has the instruction manual. Yeah, it’s of course not a major issue, just one of those little niggling things. 73!
President needs to add 2k/4k deviation menu fix or make them factory shipped setup
EU/UK/USA 2.00khz deviation,not 3k dev.
3K is not a recognised format in FM systems.
2.0k 10k spacing
2.5k 12.5 spacing
4.0k 20k spacing
5.0k 25khz spacing
if had my way in expanded mode you have
0/1/5/10/11.25/12.5/15/20/25khz steps
2/2.5/4/5k deviation got the lot then ham,CB,other uses.
Add “Channel Skip” so can setup the “channel encoder”
to select only channels want on rotary encoder.
“Ch-skip” on or off per channel
Bit like Scan skip but now works on the channel r
rotary dial too,not just scanning.
