It was a long time coming and indeed the country where it was illegal to even have a multi-norm CB has beaten many a country to adopt the new legal standard CEPT ECC/DEC(11)03 standard that allows for free movement of CB radio without a license and comes with this the 26965-27405 4w AM/FM and 12w SSB PEP which is the one that everybody has been waiting for.
Austria joins the like of: Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Portugal amongst others who have adopted the new standard and at a super time indeed as more radios seem to be planned for release and with the summer sporadic e season on the way more contacts, more modes and all good to be on the air.
July comes the UK with the new system and the new calling channels are:
Channel 14 AM 27125
Channel 27 USB 27275

And for Portugal remember to listen 27345 LSB there are many stations there calling for DX

The problem is just. Even after legalizing 40/40/40 FM/AM/SSB nobody knows it Austria is going to accept switchable multinorm radios
