So your warranty has expired and you have nothing to loose so why not unlock a few more channels and a little more on the loud pedal (wattage)

With the rU mod the radio expands to this:

SW Swedish Channels in 31Mhz with 4w Power

And the other mod allows 10w output in the export bands (on some radios works in multi-EU and some not)

•turn the radio/powersupply off

•solder the jumper marked “USE / SET” located near red trimmer-capacitors market TC1 (use antistatic armband)

•turn radio on

•turn the channel knob and select one or more band plans to activate ex. PL, PX, RU (400 ch), SW, SA, AU. channel plans that are not activated flashes

•When the desired band plan is shown, press the “FREQ” button on front to confirm selections. selected bandplan stops flashing and the display shows the selected band permanent and the band plan will to be possible select at boot time, make same with the others that flashes on the desired

•turn off radio and desolder jumper “USE / SET ‘
•start-up the radio again “NK / ESP” button is held and then select desired band plan, wait 5 seconds, clear! which is common order descrited in the instruction guide
•”USE / SET ” can usefully be provided with jumper with 2mm/sharing from a junked computerpart ect.
•for increased TX-power (10Watt) solder jumper LK2 on the bottom of PCB
