On Test Soon KL505v

 

So one of the new family or RM amplifiers will be on test here in the next weeks. The all new KL505v (V-Ventilator) seems to be an amplifier which a few of my friends are using and super delighted with and indeed a few people now in India and Pakistan have these set ready for action, albeit not all for the CB Bands where of course this would be illegal

I tried it already with my Grant II and does not work so well. The low power does not drive the amp well. It needs a little more, but Lincoln II with the power knocked back watch those amps and S-Meters jump.

1-15w AM/FM makes around 300w maximum 2-30w SSB and a potential 600w

Amplifier draws around 35 amp here when really used in anger. More news later how it works with the Lincoln II. For the Grant II seems the KL203p works the best at the moment.
