Rumoured to be “out soon” at the end of 2014 and featured here it is the brother of the Johnson II 12/24v and this is the Stabo XM5006e which has had a makeover or a mid life facelift with the edition of 24v, looks like new firmware too.
Din Size, front mounted speaker and all the new norms. For the haters this radio DOES cover AM on CEPT BAND when set in the UK setting. (Based on the PDF File attached) Now with the edition of 24v makes truckers lives easier and some changes sure have been made to the font (my thoughts) of the display, s meter lights behave better, ASC seems on my test Johnson 12/24 to work better. So those dealers who supplied feedback seems they have been listened too. Size is 170 x 52 x 150 mm so all good there too. Decent mike supplied with it, strong on AM with modulation and a little weaker on FM but sharp and clear. Audio is based on Johnson II 12/24v as NO Stabo here. UP/DWN mike and all the usual and normal suspects.
