Over The Horizon New Antenna Tests

So just as the sporadic e season should get under way there will be the testing of a new OTH (Over The Horizon) radar beginning on the 1st of June and ending in the late autumn. From the translation I have seen this new systems will be based near Kaliningrad and the other in Irkutsk. So sure will make troubles for sure.

  1. Oh great. Our younger readers and those less experienced probably don’t understand how much of a pain this is, when it’s nearly 24/7. There’s one at the moment that is believed to be French that is wrecking 1.933MHz all the time and ruining that frequency for late night nets. It is now down (net) to 1.912MHz, but there’s only so many places you can run to.
