Optim Apollo V2.5

Like all radios with all makers a radio has a “life cycle” same as with cars etc. So it comes as no surprise that in Russia the company Optim has released a new version of the Apollo 1 and this time labelled it V2.5 The changes are not much but they are at least some good revisions on a product which works exceptionally well

The radio now comes with automatic RF Gain so it can be closed when local contacts so not to overload. Also some changes around switching, backlight and other small adjustments. Is it just me? Or isn’t it an excellent idea now companies incorporate 0 and 5 endings via a button. No need to close some jumper and open another.

If yours has the serial number and E150 then you know it is the latest version
