Checking the statistics and found that indeed Uniden are reading the blog. They check out all things President, comments, posts and videos and are using Microsoft translator software to take it from English to Japanaese. My failure here, I’ve not been able to add to the blog at the moment which is not ok.
As a very vocal critic I’ll go on the record as saying thank you. It takes time and effort to actually get something translated to look at. Shows a good sign and a serious company looking at what people have had to say in the past months. And for this, we should indeed be pleased. Just hope my English is good enough to be translated in the first place.
The dialogue door is open always, either via Japan, Belgium or France should anybody want to speak. We know all are secretive, but nice to see Uniden looking, add to this also President is a regular visitor. No matter if you like them or not, we all need to be pleased they do look and don’t ignore what’s outside the windows of offices. And maybe if they change something they will make a comment, or not….

I have a question for Uniden/President. Can we please have one of the old school favorites back please? If Ranger can make ROHS compliant and CE marked Superstar 3900’s, then I am sure you could remake the Original lincoln, Mk1 Jackson, Grant or Richard. I would buy a new “Old” radio, that is for sure, and I bet many dissapointed Grant 2 or Lincoln 2 owners would jump at the chance as well.
I have asked directly this very same question at President. The answer was silence. True many ROHS components are not now available but I agree with your comment completely..
why wouldn’t they make an AM/FM version of Bearcat 880?? many countries use FM for truckers and it won’t change any soon

They make a clone of the 680 called Stabo 4060e but for the 880 nothing now. The nearest would be the President Grant II which also features SSB. I think for the Bearcat 880 just in FM/AM would be quite expensive. But IF it would happen then it’s under the name President
Do Uniden make any 11m kit these days? There’s some UHF type stuff, but I can’t see any real CB stuff on either their Japan or American website.
They make USA CB stuff and Australia and New Zealand plus stuff for President. Currently 2 new radios released in USA to celebrate 50th birthday
