GME TX-4500 UHF CB Radio With DSP

Again the Australians and New Zealanders pave the way with radio. Wake up Uniden, Qixiang and others. A UHF CB radio with a DSP on the inside for $469 Australian / €308 so not so expansive in grand scheme of things when some EU radios and 10m only radios are priced within the same range. Guess in 30 years will be “Something New in EU” But Bluetooth comes with some brands in 2016 and the ones you’d expect I guess still think Bluetooth, too new a technology won’t catch on.

Now with the new MC553B Rugged Professional microphone, the TX4500S is a full-DIN sized radio and is ideal for installations that require this size standard. The DIN mounting kit is supplied and its compact depth design allows for easy installation in confined spaces. The combination of the front facing speaker, large LCD screen and user controls along with the advanced features such as GME’s new ScanSuite™ – made possible by the use of Digital Signal Processing – make the TX4500S the radio of choice for 4WD and heavy vehicle owners.

For me it doesn’t look so special but guess it’s in the inside where it matters. Seems GME aren’t cheap on production plus my understanding this is an Australian company with equipment designed and made in Australia.
