Original 7ft Firestik @Knights

Thanks to Captain Caos whose wrote to me a small message to tell me that Knights Electrocom in the UK have the original USA made Firestik antennas in stock and this includes a new blue one. Price for the antennas are £32.95 and available in Blue, White, Red and Black. Now that’s a great name to see again sitting on the shelves. Worked in the past so why not now.

That’s a small photo (c) Knights and copied from the website and for those wanting to have a look or take a punt at an antenna the direct link is: http://tinyurl.com/goxcwta

  1. How I remember the original Firestik from the ’70s. Everyone had one on their Cortina, a red one. They stood out so much, they were always getting busted by Busby. I doubt whoever makes this one, makes it the same quality.

  2. that’s all I had in the early 70s a 7ft firestik, and I was getting every lunch time from my works 20 to my good friend John hillbilly and he was at 2000ft asl and I was 300ftasl and a maxcom 20e 3.5w, and John at 5w and as the crow fly’s 80+ miles he lived just out side of Alston at a place called coalclough on the Cumbria Durham Northumberland border, and I was 7miles west of Berwick upon tweed and no kickers and I got a qsl card that I still have to day, try that on them watts now great antennas great days and we went down to see him lots and his radio was a Radiomobile 2000 and a silver rod a well weathered wind beating antenna but it still worked great days with greater memories. and I think it was about £12 then from the great cb dealer very local the red leopard and he sold every thing cb great memories and greater days.
