So it’s been well documented that the CRT Millenium is a better radio as it can have the microphone swapped as the Midland is a fitted mike. Well there is a way to make the Midland have an external microphone and just use its original mike as an up and down channel change. Below is a video of how it works with external microphone.
You can make the adapter with either 4 or 6 pin of course. I made with six as use the tuning microphones from Konektor on most radios so 6 Pin is easiest for me but just as easy to make 4.
It was just a see if it works and it did, so now it opens another door for the Midland.
