The annual celebration of Islandfestival 2017 has just gone live on the web. Every year teams sign up and go activate islands both near and far. Idea is simple, over the weekend of 3rd-4th June go sit on either an inland waterways island (IWI) or an IOTA (island on the air) and as many chasers as possible will try and make contact with you. All the past years of the event it’s been great fun so why not take a chance and sign up!

It’s a great event and I’ve taken part in it many years, activating island in Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary. Fresh air, radio, hopefully sunshine and conditions. Great way to spend the weekend.
