Uniden have always an idea what the people need and this seems the same again with a feature on the UHF 9050 called “voice enhancer”. It’s something we’ve discussed a few years back about having a graphic equaliser for transmitted and received audio. Although not an equaliser voice enhancer allows you to change the characteristic of your transmitted speech.
The options are:
Off
L1 Bass
L2 Mid Range
L3 High
Yes it’s limited but a step in the right direction to allow people the audio that they want.
Smart Mike:
The mike has its own internal speaker and the ability to access any of the 100 pre programmed channels, tone enhancer, selcall and also tone call
Not sure on how the radio looks but the display I like it a lot. It’s busy without being too much. 5 watts UHF, DIN size and 12/24v. It’s also featuring a scanner from 400-520 MHz for analogue and unencrypted signals. It looks like it’s made in a McKinley case but I don’t know. If I could see anything transported into normal CB I’d say the display. The rest? I don’t think it would appear interesting.
But who makes it?
