It had to happen and it has. It first surfaced as the MYT-925 and now re-appears as the Luiton LT-198 but a look shows you it’s a knock off Anytone Smart although it cannot manage the full frequencies of the Smart. And spot the obvious mistake as they market it as a AM/FM/SSB radio of course it’s not at all.
As we can note from the photo above. Detachable microphone, the buttons look cheaper and now they’ve been printed on. Volume control is the same and the microphone is the same as the radio branded TeamUp some weeks ago.
Features of LT-198Â am fm ssb cb radio:
Microphone with LCD
Squelch control
RF Gain control
AM/FM mode
ASQ/SQ function
3-colors backlight
Dual watch
EMG channel CH9/19
Notice the obvious mistake in the product description. Already sells on eBay $58 (MYT-925 Version) plus shipping costs. The advice is buy the original, yes it has no detachable microphone but you get what you pay for and this isn’t all it seems…. Or is it…..
